Hi All,
I am back on-line after a too-long internet absence. (Darn Telus - at least I got a rebate!)
This Thursday I will be hosting a Pacific Pyros Beer and Beads night at my studio. You don't have to be a member to attend.
Date: Thurs Jan 21, 2010
Time: 7pm - 9pm ish
Where: Andrighetti Glassworks 3 West 3rd. Ave. Vancouver.
Phone: (604) 731-8652 for directions.
Special Demo:
Melanie Graham (you know her as Oenone on this forum) will demonstrate a long organic focal bead. She will make and use a twistie with silver glass.
In addtion I will demonstrate how to make a polariscope (for testing stress in glass) using 3-D glasses from the movie Avatar. If you kept the glasses when you went to see the move bring them!
There will be a bead exchange as usual.
And in spite of the Olympics there should be no trouble driving here Thursday. The only street that is blocked is a single block of Quebec St. between Terminal and 2nd. If you're coming from the northwest take Main or Clarke.
